We're looking forward to returning to a full production schedule beginning in the Fall of 2010!

December 2010

Look for the return of our popular production of Gian-Carlo Menotti's classic Amahl and the Night Visitors. This charming family-oriented opera presents the heart-warming story of a crippled young shepherd boy named Amahl and his mother, and their encounter with the Three Kings (Magi), and is sure to warm your heart!

Production dates, casting, and the balance of the program will be announced in the early summer. Look for some of your favorite OPO artists to return for this production.

May 2011

Our plans for the Spring/Summer include presenting Leoncavallo's I Pagliacci, one of the most loved operas in the standard repertoire. This classic story of love, jealousy, betrayal, and revenge features Canio's famous aria "Vesti la giubba", one of the best-known of all operatic arias.
